The Skijumping Eagle and top athletics at Salpausselkä Summer Evening

The World Master Athletic Championships are spending a day off from the competitions, but there is still a lot to do, for example at the Stadium! Join us for the Salpausselkä Summer Evening,”once in a life time event”, on Wednesday  5^th of August at the Stadium beginning at 17:30! WELCOME!

The event includes top athletes with Olympic medal winners. For example in the long jump competition there are 6 athletes, who have jumped over 820. In the program there are also masters’ handicap-start runs. Special quest stars four-time Olympic winner Lasse Virén and Olympic winner Javier Sotomayor.

The evening will be terminated by unique ski jumping competition. The Finnish top jumpers with Janne Ahonen meet juniors and veterans. The youngest jumper is 13 and the oldest 63 years old. There will be also a woman jumper! More information HERE.
