Master Athletes and Championships guests, Welcome to Lahti!

The Entry lists of all athletes and Venue specific timetables have now been published, and at WMA2009 office people are working with growing speed to ensure everything will go smoothly in the upcoming Championships. There is also a lot of work done on the field and the Lahti2009 Centre has been started to build as well. A large group of officials have already got to start working amongst very different types of tasks.
During the Championships, athletes and guests are welcome to use the Outdoor Swimming Pool (photo) by the great ski jumping hills FREE OF CHARGE by showing their ID-CARD. After a hot and sweaty competition day and hard training it is nice to go for a dip in the refreshing water, maybe for a cool-off practice or start your morning with a little swim in these spectaculous and unique views.
The outdoor swimming pool opening hours: Mon-Thu 6:30 – 20:00, Fri 10:00 – 20:00, Sat – Sun 10:00 – 17:00.
The swimming pool is of course open for the public and citizens during the Championships! During the following weeks, the City of Lahti organizes different sport activities by the outdoor swimming pool, such as water hydrobics and water running. All athletes and guests are welcome to join these activities, there is also other activities available in the Sport Centre area, such as Nordic Walking, Stretching and Park Aerobics.
Note! ALL CHAMPIONSHIPS COMPETITION EVENTS IN ALL THE STADIUMS ARE OPEN FOR PUBLIC FREE OF CHARGE!
