The World Masters Athletics Championships Lahti 2009 ATHLETES’ PARTY was organised yesterday, Tuesday 4th of August, in the sceneric view of Vesijärvi Passenger Harbour, at the SIBELIUS HALL.  A brilliant Finnish entertainer Laura Voutilainen together with her SHOW-group performed an excellent show for the athletes and other guests of the evening . Dancemusic created a relaxed atmosphere for the rest of the evening together with delicious food and beverages and of course, WMA2009 guests got to enjoy each others’ company outside the competition venues.

On Monday the 3rd of August the Fellmann Park filled with Road Walkers for the day. There has been a great atmosphere during the 6th day of the Lahti2009 Championships! Fellmann Park has been full of 10km walkers today, competing over the Championship title. In the photo there is one award winning -trio in Men 55 – age categorie: the gold medalist Ignacio Melo Spain, winning time 49,28, the silver medalist Fabio Ruzzier Slovenia, time 49, 38 and the pronze medalist Jose Luis Lopez Camarena, time 50, 21.
