Welcome to the World Masters Athletics Championships Marathon!

About the Rules of Marathon

• According to the IAAF Rule § 144 ” Athlete’s Assistance”  – part (d) : Athlete is forbidden to USE or BE IN THE POSSESSION of the following items on the competition venue (=Marathon) ; video recorder, cassette recorder, radio, CD-player, radio transmitter, mobile phone or any other similar device. This prohibition applies also to iPods and other similar players and cameras. This rule also applies to heart rate monitors! THEY WILL BE REMOVED AT THE CALLING ROOM.
  
• All use of any electronical equipment is FORBIDDEN at the World Championships. Wrist watch is ALLOWED.
  
• The distribution of own drinks at the fluid-station is on the responsibility the representative of the country ( 1 person / fluid station)
  
• The rules DO NOT FORBID the usage of beverage belts or similar.
  
• WELCOME TO LAHTI! Please, reserve time for the CALL ROOM preparations!
