The 18th WMA Championships Stadia are open only to men and women WHO ARE BORN ON OR BEFORE 28th of JULY 1974, and who are physically fit.
To be eligible to compete in the WMA Championships 2009 in Lahti, the athlete needs to have turned 35 years of age BY THE FIRST COMPETITION DAY OF THE CHAMPIONSHIPS, that is ON OR BEFORE 28th of July 2009.
